Cumberwell Ladies win County Handicap Knockout

What a weekend for golf - last Sunday the Cumberwell Park’s Ladies Team beat Chippenham in the final of the County Handicap KO! Played at a tough neutral course of Bowood in windy conditions, making a long course even longer, the team came through to a close 3-2 win.

The squad of seven players - Liz Hobbs, Suz Carten, Judy Meyer, Tracy Edwards, Hilary Dack, Mel Probert and Linda Brown - has worked brilliantly throughout the competition and has been rewarded with some silverware and won the event for the first time in its history.

Well done, ladies, on a great achievement that you should all be very proud of and best of luck for defending the trophy next year!
