Rainfall total for April

Our automated weather station at Cumberwell recorded 140mm rain for the month of April. The majority of the rain has come at the end of the month which has created some very unpleasant conditions for playing golf in and also created some challenges for keeping the course maintained. In comparison to monthly averages, the figure for the local area is 47.7mm and 69.6mm for the UK. On the positive side, the course should dry quickly at this time of year with the longer days and warmer temperatures - once the rain has stopped!
